Paris FC chief Michael Denisot has firmly dismissed any speculation about a potential future transfer for Mbappe, quashing rumours linking the French superstar to the Ligue 1 newcomers. Despite Paris FC’s ambitions to establish themselves as a competitive force in French football, Denisot emphasised that signing the former PSG superstar is not part of their plans.

In an interview with Denisot said: “The idea is not to bring Mbappe back to Paris. The idea is rather to build a team of players coming, as much as possible, from the Paris region."

THE BIGGER PICTURE

Having started at Monaco, Mbappe has spent the majority of his career so far at PSG, where he spent seven seasons and became the club's all-time top scorer with 256 goals in 308 games. Last summer, he made a highly-anticipated move to Real Madrid on a free transfer, where he is just two goals away from breaking the record for most goals scored in a debut season for the club.
