Bruno Fernandes has reportedly rejected a “crazy” offer from Saudi Pro League side Al-Hilal, but is not guaranteed to remain at Manchester United.

The Portugal international playmaker, who is club captain at Old Trafford, has been presented with a lucrative contract proposal from the Middle East. He is said to have snubbed those advances in order to remain in Europe.

Fernandes endured a frustrating end to the 2024-25 campaign, as United finished 15th in the Premier League and suffered Europa League final heartache against Tottenham. Questions were being asked of his future before another transfer window swung open.

Al-Hilal have made a play for the 30-year-old midfielder, in a bid to get him to follow in the footsteps of fellow countryman Cristiano Ronaldo – who is mulling over his own future in Saudi Arabia – but Fernandes is not ready to tread that path just yet.
