England haven't made contact with Greenwood after Jamaica boss Steve McClaren organised a passport for the Marseille forward. The decision confused McClaren who believed the former Manchester United player was poised to link-up with the Reggae Boyz ahead of their World Cup qualifiers with Bermuda and Trinidad and Tobago.

Greenwood is understood to be holding back on making a decision while he considers his international future. But Three Lions boss Tuchel, who is also preparing for a World Cup qualifier double-header, believed Greenwood was joining up with Jamaica and says he is not a player England are considering.

WHAT TUCHEL SAID

Tuchel said: "I have not spoken to him. I have not spoken to him or his camp. My understanding was that he tries to play for Jamaica so we didn't give it another thought. He was not in the mix at the moment and he is not in our thoughts for our team. He is no priority at the moment."

He has to be careful he doesn't burn his bridges with Jamaica and leave himself in international No Man's Land. Boss McClaren remarked on the situation: "It's a little bit disappointing, we probably have to be more patient. We will keep pursuing him because I know from my conversations with Mason that he loves Jamaica."
